The S&P BSE Sensex lost 61 points to settle at 33,856. NSE’s Nifty50 ended just 5 points higher at 10,426.

PSBs rally on BoI's NPA recovery
Shares of state-run lenders surged in the trade after Bank of India (BoI) reported it had recovered Rs 7,000 crore of non-performing assets (NPAs).

The stock closed 7 per cent higher at Rs 102 apiece on NSE. Other top performers in the Nifty PSU Bank index included Andhra Bank (up 12 per cent) and Union Bank (up 7 per cent). Shares of PNB closed 3 per cent higher.

TCS sees biggest one-day fall
IT major TCS posted its biggest one-day fall in percentage terms in over 3 years post block deals. ET on Monday reported Tata Sons sold a 1.48 per cent stake in the IT services firm to raise Rs 8,127 crore ($1.25 billion) as it looks to retire debt and invest in group firms across sectors such as auto and steel. The stock settled over 5 per cent lower at Rs 2,892.45 apiece on BSE.

Nifty Bank ends below 200-DMA
Nifty Bank closed below its 200-DMA. It slipped 271 points from day's high to settle at 24,738.65, up 74 points. Out of 12 constituents, 9 ended in the green while 3 in the red.

Bharat Dynamics IPO
The initial public offering (IPO) of mini-ratna Bharat Dynamics received 32 per cent subscription till 4.15 pm on the first day of the bidding process on Tuesday.

According to the data available with the NSE, investors bade for a total of 71,22,605 shares against the issue size of 2,24,51,953 shares.

Singtel invests Rs 2,649 cr in Bharti Telecom
Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) has concluded its Rs 2,649 crore investment in Bharti Telecom, taking its total stake (including affiliates) in the holding company of Bharti Airtel to 48.90 per cent from earlier 47.17 per cent. READ MORE

HDFC to sell 4% stake in HDFC AMC IPO
Housing finance company HDFC will sell 4.08 per cent stake in HDFC AMC IPO. The board in its meeting on November 30, 2017, had approved the initial public offering (IPO) of HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC), the mortgage lender said in a filing to the BSE on Tuesday.
